Pitt Cyber Announces Fall 2020 Accelerator Grant Recipients

Pitt Cyber is pleased to announce its awardees for the Fall 2020 Pitt Cyber Accelerator Grants Program (PCAG). PCAG provides support for projects that aim to establish or reinforce Pitt and Pitt Cyber as places of distinction and excellence in cyber studies and practice. 

Pitt Cyber announced today that Daqing He, Judy Cameron, and Adriana Kovashka are joining the institute as affiliate scholars.

Pitt Cyber affiliate scholars are drawn from faculty across the University of Pittsburgh and are selected for their excellence in cyber-themed research and teaching. Affiliate scholars are a source for transdisciplinary collaboration and innovation across Pitt and beyond.

Pitt Cyber released its 2020 Annual Report. Highlights of the institute’s fourth year include: 

• Hosting Pittsburgh Task Force on Public Algorithms;
• COVID-19-related disinformation and election security work,
• The fourth annual Air Force Association CyberCamp; and
• The continuation of the Pitt Cyber Accelerator Grants Program to provide initial funding for innovative cyber research by Pitt Faculty.

Pitt Cyber announced today that Ahmed Ibrahim is joining the Institute as an affiliate scholar and Lieutenant Colonel James J. Straub Jr. is joining the Institute as an affiliate practice scholar.

The Pitt Disinformation Lab at Pitt Cyber is honored to host this year’s Institute of Politics’ Elsie Hillman Civic Forum’s Ambassadors for Civic Engagement (ACE) Fellows.
