Pitt Cyber Announces New Affiliates

Pitt Cyber’s commitment to collaboration with faculty and researchers continues with the announcement of eight new affiliate scholars and one affiliate practice scholar.

Pitt Cyber affiliate scholars are drawn from faculty across the University of Pittsburgh and are selected for their excellence in cyber-themed research and teaching. Affiliate scholars are a source for transdisciplinary collaboration and innovation across Pitt and beyond.

Pitt Cyber Announces New Affiliate Practice Scholar

Pitt Cyber announced Harvey Rishikof is joining the Institute as an affiliate practice scholar. Rishikof is the director of cybersecurity at the Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security at the University of Maryland and a visiting professor of law at Temple University Beasley School of Law. Rishikof is senior counselor to the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Law and National Security. Rishikof advises extensively on cybersecurity policy and national security legal issues.

Pitt Cyber Announces New Affiliate Practice Scholar Sean Sweeney

Pitt Cyber announced today that Sean Sweeney is joining the institute as an affiliate scholar. Sweeney is senior director and chief security advisor in Microsoft’s Cybersecurity Solutions Group. In this role, he is responsible for aligning and mobilizing cybersecurity advisors and architects across the United States, Canada, and Latin America to deliver thought leadership and customer engagement.
